Dr. Motiwala’s Smile in 3 Days Procedure: The journey of a typical patient
Dr. Motiwala’s Smile in 3 Days is a groundbreaking technique for full-mouth dental implant restoration, allowing patients to walk out with natural-looking permanent teeth in just 3 days. This method is particularly beneficial for international patients, enabling them to complete their entire treatment in one trip within a week.
Day 1: Consultation, Medical Tests & Treatment Planning
Upon arrival at Dr. Motiwala’s clinic, patients undergo:
Comprehensive Consultation – A thorough dental evaluation and discussion of concerns.
Medical & Diagnostic Tests – Digital imaging and scans to assess bone density.
Treatment Plan Finalization – The number and type of implants are determined.
Consent & Pre-Surgical Preparations – Patients receive a clear explanation of the procedure.
This ensures transparency and clarity before moving forward.

Day 2 & Day 3: Surgical Procedure – Implant Placement
Any loose or damaged teeth are extracted.
Single-piece basal implants are strategically placed in the jawbone.
12 implants are fitted in the upper arch and 10 in the lower arch for full-mouth restoration.
Dental impressions are taken and sent to the in-house CAD/CAM lab for precise zirconia crowns/bridges fabrication.
Patients leave the clinic with functional temporary teeth, ensuring comfort and usability.
Teeth extraction and implant placement
Based upon the treatment plan that is given after clinical and radiographic analysis, all the teeth that are mobile and need extraction are pulled out. Based on the bone quality and the number of teeth being replaced, single-piece dental implants are engaged into the basal bone. For a full mouth implant restoration, a total of 12 implants are placed in the upper jaw and 10 implants in the lower jaw. This is followed by taking impressions and all the necessary measurements which are then sent to the in-house lab for crown/bridge fabrication.
Before proceeding with the fabrication of the prosthesis, the aesthetic parameters from the patient’s perspective are discussed. These parameters being the color, shape and shade of the teeth.

Placing temporary crowns/bridge
The fabrication of permanent teeth in the lab is an intricate work that needs careful designing, addressing all the minute details. Therefore, until these final bridges are fabricated, the patient is given a temporary set of teeth so that the patient is never without teeth. The patient is asked to come back on the third day.
Meanwhile, permanent zirconia crowns/bridges are fabricated in the in-house lab using CAD/CAM emphasizing on all the aesthetic and functional details.
Day 4: Trial & Permanent Teeth Fixation
Patients return to trial their custom-made zirconia crowns/bridges.
Necessary adjustments are made to ensure the best fit, function, and aesthetics.
Once approved, the permanent teeth are cemented in place.
This step ensures a perfect bite, natural aesthetics, and long-term stability.

Day 5: Final Check-Up & Follow-Up Guidance
Patients undergo a final post-procedure check-up to:
Ensure a perfect fit and bite alignment.
Provide oral hygiene guidelines for long-term care.
Answer any patient queries and discuss future maintenance.
This streamlined process allows patients to return home with a fully restored, confident smile in just a few days!
