Indian Government announces “New Guidelines for International Travelers”
Good news! Dental tourism in India is now open to International travelers as per the new rules stated below.
India revised the COVID guidelines for international travelers to India, stated effective from February 14, 2022.
The new guidelines include an additional option of uploading the vaccination certificates of the passengers, apart from a negative RT-PCR test report that is taken within 72 hours prior to the journey.
Also, there is no demarcation of “At-Risk” countries implying that the passengers from those countries don’t have to give test samples and wait for the results on arrival.
The government of India now has included a self-monitoring 14-day recommendation after arrival and no 7 days mandatory home quarantine which was followed earlier. The need for undergoing an RT-PCR test on the 8th day and uploading the report on Air Suvidha Portal is also being abstained.
However, 2% of the international passengers from different countries are randomly sampled and are allowed to leave the airport. The samples of those who are tested positive will be sent to the INSACOG laboratory network for genomic testing.
